In the early hours of Monday morning, on Greenland Highway 95, the driver of a disabled car overturned and was knocked down by another car and fled the scene on foot.

New Hampshire police said that a 2014 Toyota Camry driven by a 26-year-old Portlander Omar Sowamrah crashed into a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox parked in a northbound lane at about 2:10 in the morning. highway. The K-9 Department of State Police failed to find the man.

The man was described as a Hispanic male wearing a black jacket with a fur-lined hood.

Sowamrah was seriously injured in the crash but was not life-threatening, while Forqan Abdulaziz, a 25-year-old passenger from Westbrook, suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
