A crash Tuesday afternoon at a Panorama City gas station left 11 people with minor injuries.

The crash occurred at 4:47 p.m. near the intersection of Roscoe Boulevard and Woodman Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A pickup truck towing a concrete pumping trailer entered the station, hit three vehicles and knocked over a fuel pump, causing minor injuries to six adults and five children, LAFD said.

Officials reopened the freeway after closing its westbound lanes in Irwindale as a part of $30-million project to renovate portions that cut over the San Gabriel River.

Firefighters expected seven people to be taken to hospitals for additional evaluation, said LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey, but he had no word as to whether any had been transported.

Two injured people self-transported for further evaluation, said Officer Drake Madison, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson.

Investigators found no evidence of DUI, and the truck driver was not arrested, though detectives are continuing to look into the case, Madison said.

There were no street or lane closures as a result of the crash.

Though the crash caused a small fuel spill, a gas station employee activated an emergency shutoff switch that prevented further spread, Humphrey said.
